In the Houston area, Unocal employees contribute significantly to the annual United Way Campaign and actively participate in fundraising drives for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and other area charities. Following Tropical Storm Allison in June 2001, which severely damaged area homes, schools and community buildings, teams of Unocal employees assisted with flood relief, collecting and distributing food and supplies, and helping with clean-up and rebuilding.
