Protecting Forests in Venezuela

In 2002 ExxonMobil de Venezuela supported recovery of an emergency forest firebreak near Avila National Park in Caracas.

With ExxonMobil sponsorship and coordination from Vitalis (a Venezuelan NGO), the Universidad Metropolitana implemented several conservation and emergency-preparedness projects that will help protect the park from future fire damage.
