For 20 years, innovative oil companies, their customers, suppliers and business partners have collaborated on scores of standards development and business process improvement projects through the PIDX committee.

This event is being hosted by Petrobras Energia S.A. (PESA). PIDX is API’s committee on Global Electronic Business Standards in the oil and gas industry. A combination of other committees of Major Oil Companies and Major Suppliers from all over the world, will be attending this event.

This forum, focusing on eCommerce in the Oil and Gas industry, is aimed at discussing Industry Accepted Standards, Best Practices and Successes.  It is also the forum's goal to gain an understanding of the regional needs for successful implementation of standards based e-commerce.

PIDX assists member companies in the Oil and Gas industry in improving the efficiency, effectiveness and value of the information management, business process and technology functions. The committee also provides a global forum for delivering the process, information, and technology standards that facilitates seamless, efficient electronic business within the oil and natural gas industry and its trading community. These projects have reengineered entire business processes and operations for greater efficiency and profitability.
